TREATMENT

This facility is in lockdown.

The keycard grants access.

Treatment is a newly constructed water treatment plant that houses a large pool in the center of the map. The level has a very simple and clean visual style to it, while maintaining an intricate layout. Industrial catwalks and pipes wrap around the water pool and help breathe atmosphere into this concrete facility.

My design goals are to expand upon the traditional three lane layout and create something distinctly vertical. The main aspect of gameplay I'm focusing on is vertical encounters. Players can shoot through the catwalks throughout the map to remove any unnecessary power that is gained from height in certain areas with vertical overlap. There are also three main doors in the design that players can control with a special map pickup. This creates a dynamic layout with limitless potential for encounters.
