THRONE OF KINGS

Not even death can stop his reign. Kneel before your king.

The Throne of Kings was originally designed from a piece of concept art I had drawn up late one night. The overall goal was to emulate a dark medieval castle aesthetic, and wrap gameplay around two floors of the central atrium throne room. Spiral staircases on the outer walls allow players to ascend the room and reach overlooking balconies. Central pillars allow for beautiful support structure, as well as interesting encounters throughout the bottom level.

My design goals were to blend simplistic shaped pathways around a central atrium, to create a clean and simple styled layout. Each path was built to be linear, but carefully constructed to allow for players to seamlessly interact with each other by transitioning through the center room. This effectively keeps the gameplay consistent in nature, and forces encounters more often than not.
